Aim: The present study intends to investigate the relationship between polycystic ovarian syndrome PCOS and renin anjiotensin aldosteron system RAS .Material and Methods: It is a prospective cross-sectional study conducted at Gynecology Clinic of Faculty of Medicine in Kirikkale University. The study group consists of a total of 126 patients, aged between 18 and 40. 96 were diagnosed with PCOS, and 30 were non-PCOS patients control group . All the patients were given a fasting blood test in the morning, and the plasma renin activity PRA was assessed. Statistical analyses were performed to see the difference between the groups. Conclusion: PRA was 287 10-693 pg/ml and 213 50-802 pg/ml in PCOS and non-PCOS group, respectively. Statistically significant difference was identified between the groups p:0.048 . In brief, PRA levels increase significantly in PCOS, which indicates an activity in the RAS in PCOS.

Amaç: Polikistik over sendromu PKOS ile renin anjiotensin aldosteron RAS sisteminin ilişkisini araştırmaktır.
