Reproductive Health In Older Women

Öz

Reproductive health is the absence of illness or disability related to the reproductive system and its functions, and mental and social well-being. Reproductive health also means that people have a satisfying and safe sexual life, have the ability to reproduce, and have the freedom to decide whether to use their reproductive ability. This issue is often ignored for menopausal and post-menopausal older women, whose fertility is over. However, reproductive health should be regarded as the fundamental right of all men and women, young and old people. In this review, we aimed to address the problems of reproductive health of over 50 years old and older women.

Yaşlı Kadınlarda Üreme Sağlığı

Öz

Üreme sağlığı, üreme sistemi ve onun fonksiyonlarına ilişkin hastalık ya da sakatlık olmaması ve zihinsel ve sosyal açıdan bütünüyle iyi olma durumudur. Üreme sağlığı aynı zamanda insanların tatmin edici ve güvenli bir cinsel yaşamlarının olması, üreme yeteneğine sahip olmaları, üreme yeteneklerini kullanmada karar verme özgürlüğüne sahip olmaları demektir. Doğurganlığı içerisinde barındırdığı için doğurganlığın sona erdiği menopoz ve menopoz sonrası yaşlı kadınlar için bu konu genellikle göz ardı edilmektedir. Halbuki, üreme sağlığı kadın-erkek, genç-yaşlı bütün bireylerin temel hakkı olarak kabul edilmelidir. Biz bu derlememizde 50 yaş üstü ve yaşlı kadınların üreme sağlığı konularındaki sorunlarına eğilmeyi amaçladık.
