Amniotic fluid is a very essential substance for a fetus to grow and produced mostly by fetus. Amniotic fluid regulation is provided by many mechanisms. Amniotic fluid is affected by fetal homeostasis, fetal urine , fetal swallowing and fetal lung secretions. Amniotic fluid volume reflects intrauterin fetal condition so it is an imporant part of asessing fetal biometry and biyophysical profile.
