Aim: To evaluate the short-term long-term outcomes and complications of the transobturator tape TOT operation in patients with urinary incontinence. Materials and Method: 24 patients with diagnosis of stress urinary incontinence SUI or mixed urinary incontinence MUI were included. Impact Incontinance Questionnarie IIQ7 was used for evaluation of complaints of patients, for determination the type of incontinence and violence ICIQSF International Continence Questionarie Impact Short Form questionnaire was used. Early complications and efficacy parameters were evaluated again at 12 months compared with the initial examination results that performed before surgical procedure . To demonstrate the long-term effectiveness of procedure, patients were re-evaluated after 5 years of operation. Results: 19 patients with 57,6% SUI and 15 patients with 42,4% present in the MUI. In the assessment of quality of life showed statistically significant improvement in IIQ-7 and ICIQSF scores, postoperatively. After 5 years of the procedure, the event demonstrated the similar findings with early examination results. Conclusion: TOT surgical procedure with high rate of success in the early period, improves the symptoms and quality of life. 5 years after procedure, results of re-evaluation are similar with the early postoperative period findings. TOT procedure with high success and low complication rates may be preferable in urinary incontinence surgical treatments.
