Öz

Yenidoğan prematüre bebeklerde anneden veya bebeğin kendisinden kaynaklanabilen çeşitli nedenlerle klitoromegali saptanabilmektedir. Yenidoğan bebeklerde klitoromegali varlığında, konjenital adrenal hiperplazi başta olmak üzere, adrenal kitleler, klitoris yerleşimli yer kaplayıcı lezyonlar araştırılmalıdır. Bu sebeplerin dışında yenidoğan prematüre bebeklerde geçici, selim klitoromegali gelişimi tanımlanmıştır. Prematüreliğe bağlı yağ dokusu azlığı, fetal adrenal korteks aktivitesi gibi nedenlerle açıklanmaya çalışılan bu durum bazen hastanın gereksiz tedaviler almasına bile neden olabilir. Dolayısıyla, prematüre bebeklerde görülen klitoromegali dikkatle ele alınması gereken bir bulgudur.
