Öz

Tajikistan is a country which has an important place among the Middle East Turkic republics. There have been diverse views about its origin and the source of its language. It is seen that the Uzbek Turks dominated the region after the fifteenth century. It could be stated that the country experienced various divisions due to the effect of the policy of the Soviet Union after the revolution and during the process of the reconstruction of the political map. . Previously, it was governed under the name of the Republic of the Turkistan Autonomous Soviet Socialist and in 1929 it gained the status of the Republic of the Taijikistan Autonomous Socialist. . This period has taken place in the history of the world as the period in which the pressure of the regime was highly felt. Both the geography of the country and the historic features of the area has attracted the attention of the researchers from different fields. The British Paul Bergne is one of these researchers.. This book review has discussed the introduction of Paul Bergne's work.

Tacikistan'ın Doğumu: Ulusal Kimlik ve Cumhuriyetin Kökenleri

Tacikistan; Orta Asya Türk cumhuriyetleri arasında önemli yere sahip bir ülkedir. Kökeni ve dilinin kaynağı konusunda farklı görüşler yer almaktadır. Bölgeye on beşinci yüzyıldan sonra Özbek Türklerinin hâkim olduğu görülmektedir. Devrim sonrasında Sovyetleştirme politikasının etkisi ve siyasi haritanın yeniden oluşturulması sürecinde çeşitli bölünmeler yaşadığı söylenebilir. Önceleri Türkistan Özerk Sovyet Sosyalist Cumhuriyeti adı altında yönetilmiş ve 1929 yılında Tacikistan Özerk Sosyalist Cumhuriyeti olarak bir statü kazanmıştır. Bu dönem rejimin baskısının oldukça hissedildiği bir dönem olarak tarihte yerini almaktadır. Gerek coğrafyası gerek tarihi özellikleri çeşitli alanlardaki araştırmacıların dikkatini çekmektedir. Bu araştırmacılardan biri de İngiliz Paul Bergne olmuştur. Bu kitap inceleme yazısı Paul Bergne'nin kiatbının tanıtımını tartışmaktadır.
