Ortaokul Öğrencilerinin Sabır Değeri Üzerindeki Faktörlerin İncelenmesi

Öz

Bu araştırmada, ortaokul öğrencilerinin sabır değeri üzerindeki faktörlerin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmaya, 2021 - 2022 eğitim – öğretim yılı Uşak ilinde yer alan ortaokullardan basit seçkisiz örnekleme yoluyla seçilmiş 995 öğrenci katılmıştır. Tarama desenin kullanıldığı bu araştırmanın verileri, “Sabır Ölçeği” ile toplanmıştır. Araştırma verileri betimsel istatistikler, bağımsız gruplar için t-Testi ve tek yönlü varyans analizi ile çözümlenmiştir. Bulgulara göre, öğrencilerin sabır değerinin yüksek; cinsiyet değişkenine göre kızların erkeklere göre daha sabır düzeyinin yüksek olduğu görülmüştür. Ailesel kaynaklı faktörlerden anne eğitim, baba meslek ve aile gelir durumuna göre öğrencilerin sabır puanları benzerken; baba eğitim, aile yapısı ve anne çalışma durumuna göre sabır puanlarının anlamlı olarak farklılaştığı tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca öğrencilerin günlük TV izleme süresine göre sabır puanlarında anlamlı bir fark gözlemlenmese de günlük internet kullanma süresi ve okunan kitap sayısına göre manidar farklılık görülmüştür. Bu farklılıkların ise günde az internet kullananlar ve yıl içinde fazla kitap okuyanlar lehinedir. Ancak anlamlı farkın olduğu faktörlerin öğrencilerin sabır değerinde küçük bir etkiye sahip olduğu araştırmanın bir diğer sonucudur.

Examining the Factors on the Patience Value of Secondary School Students

Öz

The present research aims to examine the factors on the patience value of secondary school students. 995 students selected through random sampling from secondary schools in the province of Uşak in the 2021 - 2022 academic year participated in the research. The data of this study, in which survey design was used, were collected with the “Patience Scale”. The research data are analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-Test for independent groups and one-way analysis of variance. According to the findings, students' patience value is high. It is also seen that the girls had a higher level of patience than the boys by gender variable. While the students' patience scores are similar by the mother's education, father's occupation, and family income, which are parental factors. They show that patience scores differ significantly in father's education, family structure and mother's working status. In addition, although no significant difference is observed in the patience scores of the students in terms of the daily TV watching time, a significant difference is observed by the daily internet usage time and the number of books read. These differences are in favor of those who use the internet less per day and those who read more books during the year. However, it is another result of the research that the factors with a significant difference have a small effect on the students' patience value.
