COMPARISON AGILE MANUFACTURING WITH LEAN MANUFACTURING

Öz

Today, it emerges that the mass production which is the traditional production method is
inadequacy to meet customer demand change continuously. At the same time, the firms are inevitable
to establish production systems systems which is flexibility to respond to the their uncertain demand.
Customer needs and demands has been an important factor in determining the firms’ production and
service infrastructure in recent years. They should direct to the flexible production systems which
don’t waste the resources while providing this. In this context, lean manufacturing and agile
manufacturing stand out. In this study, the lean and agile production which is modern production
methods were compared. Besides, the advantages and disadvantages of both methods were

investigated according to mass production. It was presented with a general literature on studies
conducted so far.

ÇEVİK ÜRETİM İLE YALIN ÜRETİMİN KARŞILAŞTIRILMASI

Öz

Günümüzde sürekli değişen müşteri taleplerini karşılamada geleneksel üretim yöntemi olan
kitle üretimin yetersizliği ortaya çıkmıştır. Aynı zamanda, şirketlerin belirsiz taleplerine cevap
verebilecek esneklikte üretim sistemleri kurmaları kaçınılmazdır. Son zamanlarda müşterilerin istek ve
ihtiyaçları firmaların üretim ve hizmet altyapılarını belirlemede önemli bir unsur olmuştur. Bunu
sağlarken kaynakları israf etmeyen esnek üretim sistemlerine yönelmeleri gerekmektedir. Bu
bağlamda yalın üretim ve çevik üretim öne çıkmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, modern üretim yöntemleri olan
yalın üretim ve çevik üretimin karşılaştırılması yapılmıştır. Ayrıca, her iki yöntemin kitle üretime göre
avantajları ve dezavantajları incelenmiştir. Bugüne kadar yapılmış çalışmalara ilişkin genel bir
literatür taramasıyla sunulmuştur.
