In this study, it was aimed to examine the relationship between perceived social support and psychological well-being in adolescents aged 14-17. In addition to the main purpose of the study, the relationships between the psychological well-being variable and the sociodemographic variables of the adolescents' gender, age and income level were also examined. The sample of the study consists of 529 high school students, 288 male and 241 female students. Pearson correlation analysis to examine the relationship between variables in the analysis of the data collected from the sample; independent samples t-test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) to determine the relationship between sociodemographic variables and psychological well-being variables; Simple linear regression analyzes were used to determine to what extent perceived social support levels predicted psychological well-being. As a result of the research, it was determined that there is a positive and significant relationship between perceived social support and psychological well-being in adolescents. Since adolescence is a period in which many developments such as physical, emotional and mental development as well as identity development and preparation for adult roles are experienced simultaneously, it is thought that the social support that adolescents perceive from their environment is important in terms of their psychological well-being. Subjective well-being, which is considered as a sub-dimension of psychological well-being in adolescents, did not differ according to the gender variable, and there was a negative relationship with the age variable; It has been seen that there is a positive relationship with income level. The variable of life satisfaction, which is another sub-dimension of psychological well-being, did not differ according to gender, except for the friend sub-dimension; It has been seen that there is a negative relationship between age variable and it has a positive relationship with income level. As a result, it is thought that the perceived social support of individuals in adolescence is important for them to overcome this period in a healthy and successful way. In order to increase the psychological well-being of individuals in this period, informative seminars can be organized and brochures can be prepared for parents on topics such as healthy parenting attitudes and family relations, which include the basic concepts of the research and the importance of these concepts. In addition, for adolescents, seminars can be given on relationships with peers, romantic relationships with the opposite sex, and group work can be carried out.
