Kanser Hastalarına İnformal Bakım Verenlerin Merhamet Düzeyleri ve Bakım Yükleri: Karma Bir Çalışma

Öz

Giriş: Bakım hizmetlerinin hastane bakımından, bakım veren aile üyelerine doğru kayması, aile üyelerinin yaşam standartlarının değişmesine neden olmaktadır.
Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı bir onkoloji merkezindeki kanser hastalarına informal bakım veren bireylerin merhamet düzeylerini ve bakım yüklerini belirlemektir.
Yöntem: Bu çalışma karma araştırma yöntemiyle gerçekleştirildi. Kemoterapi almak için başvuran kanser hastalarına informal bakım veren yakınları ile yapılan çalışmanın nicel verileri 200 kişi, nitel verileri ise 30 kişi ile tamamlandı. Araştırma 01 Ağustos – 30 Kasım 2022 tarihleri arasında gerçekleştirildi. Nicel verilerin analizi SPSS 25.0 programında, nitel verilerin analizi içerik analizi yaklaşımı kullanılarak gerçekleştirildi.
Bulgular: İnformal bakım verenlerin merhamet düzeyleri ve sevecenlik düzeyleri yüksek bulundu. Merhamet ölçeğinin umursamazlık, bağlantısızlık ve ilişik kesme alt boyutları ile bazı sosyo-demografik özellikler arasında anlamlı farklılık vardı. Nitel değerlendirmede katılımcıların bakım yükü yaşadığı, kendilerini mutsuz, belirsiz, yorgun ve yetersiz hissettikleri ve mevcut durumla baş ederken aile desteğini, dini inançları ve sosyal etkinlikleri tercih ettikleri sonuçlarına ulaşıldı.
Sonuç: Bu doğrultuda hemşireler tarafından informal bakım verenlere yönelik, psikolojik ve sosyal destek programları oluşturulması önerilir.

Etik Beyan

The research was carried out according to the guidelines in the Declaration of Helsinki and the ethical rules specified in the ethics committee of Recep Tayyip Erdogan University between August and November 2022. The research was conducted by obtaining institutional permission from the relevant university's social and humanities ethics committee (19.07.2022/162) and the Rize Provincial Health Directorate (17.05.2022/3733).
