The use of the tidal model is a recovery model that is becoming more common every year. This model is used in mental health care for prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation services. Mental health services are mainly provided face-to-face, but during the pandemic, there were some limitations in providing these services face-to-face. During this period, the importance of telepsychiatry services became apparent. The aim of this case report is to present an example of the use of the Tidal Model in telepsychiatric applications. The individual who received care based on the Tidal Model is a 22-year-old university student. For about three months, she had been experiencing symptoms of boredom, suffocation, aversion, and decreased interest in her classes. During the holistic assessment of the case, it was noted that she had problems in her family relationships. There is no desire to harm herself or others. As a result of the assessments, six nursing diagnoses were investigated. This case report presents research on the nursing diagnosis of Ineffective Coping in the area of immediate care. At the end of the care process, positive changes in the case’s coping skills were noted, and the difficulties and limitations of the telepsychiatric application of the Tidal Model were discussed and suggestions made.
