Çocuk Acil Servisinde Çalışan Hemşirelerin İntihar Eylemiyle Başvuran Hastalara Bakım Verme Deneyimleri: Kalitatif Çalışma

Öz

Giriş: Acil servis birimlerine intihar eylemi ile başvuran çocuk ve ergen bireylerin hemşirelik bakımı/süreci kriz yönetimini gerektiren önemli konulardan bir tanesidir. Amaç: Bu araştırmanın amacı çocuk acil servisinde çalışan hemşirelerin intihar eylemi ile başvuran hastalara bakım verme deneyimlerinin incelenmesidir. Yöntem: Araştırma tanımlayıcı kalitatif tasarımda olup çocuk acil servisi biriminde çalışan ve intihar girişiminde bulunmuş hastalara bakım veren 12 hemşire araştırmanın örneklemini oluşturmuştur. Verilerin analizinde içerik analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Araştırma sonucunda beş ana tema elde edilmiştir. Bu temalar “Bakımın Doğası”, “Hasta Bireye İlişkin Tutumlar”, “Hastanın Tepkilerini/Davranışlarını Yönetme”, “Ailenin Süreçteki Yeri” ve “Gereksinimler” dir. Sonuç: Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgular sonucunda çocuk ve ergen acil servis biriminde çalışan hemşirelerin intihar eylemi ile başvuran hastalara psikososyal bakım sunamadığı, hastaları destekleme noktasında olumlu ve olumsuz tutumlarının olduğu ve bakım sürecinin daha iyi yönetilmesi için eğitim gereksinimlerinin olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
