Palyatif bakımda psikososyal yaklaşım ve değerlendirme

Öz

Dünya genelinde kronik hastalıkların artması ve nüfusun yaşlanması palyatif bakıma olan gereksinimi artırmıştır. Palyatif bakım multidisipliner olarak yürütülmesi gereken, hasta ve yakınlarını derinden etkileyen bir süreçtir. Psikososyal faktörler ilerlemiş hastalığı olan bireylerde iyi oluşluğun önemli bir belirleyicisidir. Bu dönemde hasta ve yakınlarında depresyon, anksiyete ve sosyal iletişimde kopukluklar gibi psikososyal semptomlar görülebilmektedir. Yaşam kalitesini artırmak için hasta ve yakınlarının psikososyal gereksinimleri iyi analiz edilmelidir. Hasta kaybı sonrasındaki yas döneminde de profesyonel desteğe devam edilmesi önemlidir.
