Kutadgu Bilig Dizinindeki Bir Kelime Hakkında I: İlmek ‘inmek’ Üzerine

Öz

The scholarly edition of Qutadγu Bilig was edited by Räšit Rahmäti ARAT in 1947. This edition is based on three manuscripts of Qutadγu Bilig. ARAT successfully prepared this edition after a long endeavour. When we look at the general view of the text, it is not much of an example that one reading is the same in three manuscripts. It has been a great misfortune for us that ARAT’s explanations about this edition cannot reach to us. It should be appreciated that each problematic reading is explained in this edition. CLAUSON, ARAT and other philologists think that the verb ïl- ‘to descend’ turn to il- in Qutadγu Bilig, but It is clearly shown in Dīvān Luγāt at-Turk that the verb is with /ï/.
