About the Problem of Transcription in Rounded Vowels of the First Sylla-bles in Old Uighur
Abstract
In Old Uighur, how should be transcribed rounded vowels of the first syllables with helping writing systems of Uighurs? Turk Runic, Sogdian, Manichaean, Arabic alphabets can’t solve any solution for this problem. The only writing system that will help us in this problem is the Brāhmī writing system of Indian origin. In this paper, I would like to focus on this problem and offer a solution suggestion.
