Te'vil Meselesine Dair Metodik ve Bütüncül Bir Tahlil Denemesi

The word of ?ta?wil? which is one of the common notions of the tradition of religious sciences means literaturely ?to translate something back, to return its origin and to explain its results.? The usage of ta?wil that is mentioned in various verses in the Holy Qur?an largely is in compliance with its literal sense. However, ta?wil which has been used as a term with the word of ?tafsir? in literature has been evaluated by scholars as ?interpretation? of some closed (mubham) expressions in the Qur?an in appropriate meanings. In this second meaning of ta?wil, mainly two types of methods are seen. In this article, we will call the first of these ?figurative interpretation? and the second ?inretnal? or esoteric comments.?
