Muslim theologians have been of different opinions about man?s power to choose and act with his own free will and thereby shaping its responsibility. The relation between the endless power of Allah and man?s responsibility for his acts is one of those issues which have been always discussed.
In this study, we handled man?s volitive freedom and responsibility in accordance with Asharite, Mutazilite, Shiite sects and tried to explain the subject translating a short text extracted from the chapter of ?the issue of creating acts? in ?İrş?d at-talib?n ila nahj al-Müstarşidin? by Fâzıl el-Mikdâd es-Suyûrî el-Hillî, a shi?ah teologian.
