The Phenomenon of opposition or rivalry in early Islam is something we can trace back through Mabad al-Juhani, who resisted for his thought and suffered much in this regard. Although he has huge impact on his successors via his thought and action, very little is known about him. He is also a scholar who drew much criticism from Sunni part. He was called as the core or chief of mischief or fitna. The following paper deals with this scholar with the environment he lived in on the one hand and and tries to evaluate the criticism made by Sunnis on the other.
