Investigation of the Relationship Between Physical Characteristics and Balance Performance in Volleyball Players

Öz

Purpose: It was aimed to determine the relationship between the physical characteristics of volleyball players and their balance performance in this study.
Method: 27 female volleyball players playing in Çanakkale Belediyespor Women's Volleyball team participated in this study. In the study, body weight, body mass index, body fat percentage, body fat mass, fat-free mass and total body water measurements of volleyball players were measured with Tanita BC 418 body analyzer and balance performances were measured with Tecnobody Prokin PK200 WL device. In order to determine whether there is a relationship between the physical characteristics of the volleyball players, the Spearman Rank Correlation Test, which is one of the non-parametric tests, was applied, and SPSS package program was used in the analysis of the data.
Results and Conclusion: As a result of the research, considering the body structure and physical characteristics of volleyball players, the lack of a relationship between parameters such as body fat percentage and body fat mass and balance performance made it necessary to re-investigate these criteria using different methods.

Voleybolcularda Fiziksel Özellikler ve Denge Performansı Arasındaki İlişkinin İncelenmesi

Öz

Amaç: Bu araştırmada voleybolcuların fiziksel özellikleri ile denge performansı arasında ilişkinin tespit edilmesi amaçlanmıştır.
Yöntem: Araştırmaya Çanakkale Belediye Spor Kadın Voleybol takımında oynayan 27 kadın voleybolcu katılmıştır. Araştırmada voleybolcuların vücut ağırlığı, beden kütle indeksi, vücut yağ yüzdesi, vücut yağ kütlesi, vücut yağsız beden kütlesi ve toplam vücut sıvısı ölçümleri Tanita BC 418 vücut analiz cihazı ile denge performansları ise Tecnobody Prokin PK200 WL cihazı ile ölçülmüş, verilerin analizinde de SPSS paket programı kullanılmıştır. Voleybolcuların fiziksel özellikleri arasında ilişkinin olup olmadığını belirlemek için non parametrik testlerden Spearman Sıra Farkları Korelasyon Testi uygulanmıştır.
Bulgular ve Sonuç: Araştırma sonucunda voleybolcularda beden yapısı ve fiziksel özellikler dikkate alındığında Vücut yağ yüzdesi, Vücut Yağsız Beden Kütlesi, Vücut Toplam Su miktarı ve Vücut Yağ Kütlesi parametreleri ile denge performansı arasında bir ilişki tespit edilememiştir. Bu durum farklı yöntemler kullanılarak fiziksel özellikler ve performans kriterlerinin araştırılması ihtiyacını doğurmuştur.
