BİR SUFİNİN MÜZİĞİNDE GİZEMCİLİK: “HAZRET İNAYET HAN”

Hazrat Inayat Khan, who studies the mysticism of music, sees music as a means of getting closer to the divine and emphasizes the importance of progressing on the path of truth. He did not neglect to mention the importance of music and sound, their vibrations and frequencies, and their healing properties on the mind, body and soul. He emphasized the importance of thought, word, sound and mind, all kinds of vibrational phenomena that affect our will, and conveyed the ways of meditating and activating the mind and consciousness in his works. He examined how it is possible to awaken the sleeping mind through meditation and become one with the truth. He tried to convey the harmony between God and the universe, man and all known beings by exemplifying it with the harmony of music. The aim of this study is to show Hazrat Inayat Khan’s methods of seeking and finding the truth through music and sound. The similarities between the perspectives of ancient Greek, Islamic and modern philosophers on music and Inayat Khan’s thoughts are expressed. For this purpose, the article tries to elucidate the relationship between the universal harmony of music, its inner teaching and the transcendental understanding of God by starting from the important representatives of music in philosophy.

Müziğin gizemciliği üzerine çalışmalar yapan Hazret İnayet Han, müziği ilahi güce yakınlaştıran bir araç olarak görmekte ve hakikat yolunda ilerlemenin önemini vurgulamaktadır. Müziğin ve sesin, titreşim ve frekanslarının, zihin, beden ve ruh üzerindeki şifasal özelliklerinin önemini belirtmeyi ihmal etmemiştir. Düşüncenin, sözün, sesin ve zihnin, irademizi etkileyen her türlü titreşimsel olguların üzerinde durmuş ve meditasyon yapmanın, zihni ve bilinci aktif hâle getirmenin yollarını eserlerinde aktarmıştır. Meditasyon ile uyku hâlinde olan zihni uyandırmanın ve hakikatle bir olmanın nasıl mümkün olacağını irdelemiştir. Tanrı ile evren, insan ve bilinen tüm varlıkların ahengini, müziğin harmonisi ile örneklendirerek aktarmaya çalışmıştır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Hazret İnayet Han’ın müzik ve ses aracılığıyla, hakikati arama ve bulma yöntemlerini göstermeye çalışmaktır. Antik Yunan, İslam ve modern dönem filozoflarının, müzik üzerine olan perspektifleri ile İnayet Han’ın düşünceleri arasındaki benzerlikler ifade edilmiştir. Bu amaçla makalede, müziğin felsefedeki önemli temsilcilerinden yola çıkılarak müziğin evrensel ahengi, içsel öğretisi ve aşkınsal Tanrı anlayışı arasındaki ilişki aydınlatılmaya çalışılmıştır.
