DEREGÜLASYON VE EKONOMİK ETKİLERİ: ABD VE TÜRKİYE HAVAYOLU TAŞIMACILIĞI DENEYİMİ ÜZERİNE BİR İNCELEME

Öz

Bu
çalışma, ABD ve Türkiye’de havayolu sektöründe yaşanan deregülasyon sürecinin
sonuçlarından hareketle, ekonomik regülasyonların etkinsizliğine ve iktisadi
hayatı düzene sokmak için getirilen kuralların çoğu zaman beklentilerin aksine
sonuçlar ürettiğine vurgu yapmaktadır. Çalışmada ABD ve Türkiye’de havayolu
deregülasyonu sayesinde tüketicilerin, çalışanların ve sektörün önemli yararlar
elde ettiği gösterilmektedir. Her iki ülkede de havayolu taşımacılığının
serbestleşmesinden sonra sektörün büyüdüğü, bilet fiyatlarının düştüğü, yolcu
kapasitesinin arttığı ve uçuş iptallerinin ve bekleme sürelerinin azaldığı
görülmüştür.
