Views of Individuals in Different Occupations to Professional-Violence Relations and Domestic Violence

In this study, it is aimed to analyse the views of individuals in different occupations to
professional-vioelence relations and domestic violence. Target population of the study has
been composed of 71 persons. Data has been collected with the semi-structured interview
form. Percentage and frequency distributions of the quantitative data have been constructed
and qualitative data have been analysed using content analysis method. As a result, it has
been determined that participants have the opinion that law enforcement officials are prone
to violence; that opccupation has either medium or high level effect on domestic violence;
that occupation has an effect primarily on verbal violence, and then physically, economical
violence, emotional violence respectively.
