Content Analysis of Research Papers in A Journal in The Field of Curriculum and Instruction: 2002-2015
Öz
The aim of the study is, through examining the studies published in Curriculum Inquiry
Journal between 2002-2015, to determine the tendency of Curriculum Inquiry Journal and
curriculum studies in specified period of time. In the study in which qualitative research method
was utilized 334 articles were analyzed within the scope of content analysis by examining
them in terms of some dimensions. The obtained results indicated that majority of studies
on the journal were conducted in the subjects of the structure of curriculum, their elements
and developmental process, education in the context of different disciplines, the structure of
multicultural society, curriculum and their practices. Further, it is determined that the tendency
of the journal regarding research methodology is towards theoretical and qualitative studies. It
is found out that collected data is generally obtained from related literature within the scope of
investigated documents and analyzed through using content analysis methodology.
