The Current State and Needs Of Postgraduate Educatıon In Sport Scıences
Öz
Postgraduate education in Turkey experiences problems in sports education, same as
many other branches, on the subjects of institutions, system structures, student qualification
and education programs. In this study, carried out within the framework of these problems
and the current literature on the subject, the term postgraduate and the current state of
postgraduate education in sports sciences in Turkey were descriptively analyzed. Within this
scope, discussions were carried out and it was aimed to contribute to the field with developed
solution suggestions. Finally, it was concluded that postgraduate education in sports sciences
in Turkey requires a structural transformation. The detected suggestions to increase the quality
and the performance in postgraduate sports education should be tried to be analyzed by the
decision makers.
