A Research on The Career Conciousness of 6th Grade Female Students
Öz
This study aims to determine the acquisitions of female students who received the education
of career consciousness development in the scope of social sciences education. The study was
patterned as a case study in qualitative research approaches. The study group of the study consisted
of 9 female students being educated in the 6th grade. The data in the study were obtained
through correspondence technique and participant observer notes. The data were analyzed
descriptively and categorized according to the sub-problems of the study. At the end of the
study, the 6th grade girls were found to determine their professional preferences independent
of social gender and by disregarding their talents in general. It was observed that teaching
was the mostly preferred occupation by girls. It was determined that they could explain the
chosen profession’s qualities proper for their personality characteristics, with examples of their
characteristics. It was concluded that the acquisition by improving career consciousness are
generally acquired by female students.
