Nowadays business organizations have increasing social responsibilities. Marina business, one the most important marine tourism
business, has rather much social responsibility than the others. Marinas are the main determinant on living quality of coastal
cities. Marinas are not solely mooring centers for boats for recreational activities, they must provide social and cultural services to
the residential cities beyond being a basic club of boat owners where to socialize. The law of coasts is the legal base proving that
the public is the owner of coastal line. Coasts are common property of all citizens.Coasts are allocated for marinas by taking into
consideration interest and benefit of whole community. Also decision of regional population is very important to determine place
of marinas. Marina entity contributes to regional economy after starting activites. Yachting managers, suppliers, restaurants,
accomodation business etc are getting external benefits and from these marinas and regional economy feels new development.
Marina entities must take into consideration demand and need of regional population besides of organizing their internal services.
They must realize social and cultural activities within internal structure but must oversee to built an attractive center for the city.
They should be sponsor for sports activies. They should built social facilities like cinemas, theatres, libraries, conference halls
within marina. They will satisfy their own customers with some activities like Bienal, exhibitons, concerts, festivals as well as
creating livable coastal cities. They should employ qualified personnel to maximize function of all departments. They should
establish departments to organize continous cultural, art, and social activities. All personnel should be recognized how distinctive
entity they work for as much as marinas have variable social functions. Organizational distinctive visions should be maintained and all personnel should be given consious of this vision. Contribution of marina managers are very important to create livable
coastal cities.
