BELİRSİZLİĞE TAHAMMÜLSÜZLÜĞÜN MUTLULUĞA ETKİSİ

Öz

Bu çalışmada, üniversite öğrencilerinin belirsizliğe tahammülsüzlük düzeyleri ile mutluluk düzeylerini arasındaki ilişkinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma Dumlupınar Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesine devam etmekte olan 193 kadın ve 123 erkek olmak üzere toplam 316 üniversite öğrencisi üzerinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veri toplamak için araştırmacılar tarafından Türkçeye adapte edilen Belirsizliğe Tahammülsüzlük Ölçeği-BTÖ 12 ve Doğan ile Akıncı Çötok tarafından kültürümüze adapte edilen Oxford Mutluluk Ölçeği Kısa Formu kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde Pearson Momentler Çarpımı Korelasyon Analizi ile çoklu regresyon analizi kullanılmış olup; SPSS 17 programından yararlanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda üniversite öğrencilerinin ileriye yönelik kaygı düzeyi yüksek çıkarken; mutluluk düzeyleri düşük çıkmıştır. Ayrıca belirsizliğe tahammülsüzlük düzeyinin mutluluğu olumsuz yönde etkilediği; özellikle ileriye yönelik kaygının bu etkide önemli bir payı olduğu gözlenmiştir. Çalışma bulguları ilgili literatür ışığında tartışılmıştır.
