Yıl 2020, Cilt: 1 Sayı: 2, 17 - 31, 31.12.2020

Öz

This research aims to carry out the Turkish validity-reliability study of the reinterpretation of the job satisfaction scale developed by Brayfield and Rothe (1951) and shortened by Judge, Locke, Durham and Kluger (1998). According to the results of the research conducted with the participation of 253 employees, the factor loadings of the items in the scale ranged between 0,841 and 0,932 and the total explained variance was determined as 77,99%. According to the confirmatory factor analysis results, the job satisfaction scale consists of 5 items and single factor (Chi-square / degree of freedom: 2.00; RMSEA: 0.06; NFI: 0.99; NNFI: 0.99; CFI: 0.99; GFI: 0.98 and AGFI: 0.95). The internal consistency of the scale was calculated as 0.929 and item-total correlations ranged between 0,756 and 0,886. As a result, after the analysis, it was concluded that the job satisfaction scale is valid and reliable for Turkish society.
