Öz

. Bu çalışmanın amacı, turizm işletmelerinde yeni ürün geliştirme alanındaki çabalara katkıda bulunmaktır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda, ilk kullanım alanı olarak endüstriyel ürünlerin tasarım sürecini desteklemesi amaçlanan ve daha sonraki yıllarda hizmet alanında da kullanılabileceği anlaşılan KFG yönteminin, turizm işletmelerinin yeni ürün geliştirme çalışmalarında kullanılabilirliği incelenmiştir. Bu çerçevede, konuyla ilgili bilimsel yazın incelemesi yapılarak ve ikincil verilerin de değerlendirilmesiyle, önce geleneksel yeni ürün geliştirme yaklaşımlarının bir incelemesi yapılarak, turizm işletmelerinde yüksek kaliteli yeni ürünlerin geliştirilmesinde veya halihazırda var olan ürünlerin müşteri beklentileri doğrultusunda yeniden tasarlanmasında yararlanılabilecek KFG temelli bir yeni ürün geliştirme süreci oluşturulmuştur. Turizm işletmelerinin kendine özgü özellikleri dikkate alınarak oluşturulan bu süreç, yeni ürün fikirlerinin üretilmesi ve değerlendirilmesi aşamasıyla başlamakta, üzerinde çalışmaya değer bulunan fikirler ticari analizlerin yürütülmesi aşamasına geçirilmektedir. Bu aşamada fikirler belirli ölçütler çerçevesinde değerlendirilmekte ve standartları karşılayabilen fikirler bir KFG uygulamasıyla olgunlaştırılmaktadır. KFG sürecinde tüm ögeleri ile birlikte geliştirilmiş olan yeni ürün, pazar testlerinin yürütülmesi çalışmalarından sonra son haliyle pazara sunulma aşamasına gelmektedir. Bu çalışma sonucunda, turizm işletmeleri açısından yaklaşıldığında, geleneksel yeni ürün geliştirme yaklaşımlarının hatalı ve eksik yönleri tespit edilmiş ve KFG temelli yeni ürün geliştirme sürecinin turizm işletmelerinde uygulanabilirliği ve yararlılığı ortaya koyulmuştur
