Human resources are the most important element for organizations at
the time of crises, because they are the most affected party. Crises usually cause
stress on employees and break their psychological health within time by creating a
negative situation at the workplace. Thus, crises prevent employees from assessing
problems well and developing policies to solve these problems. In turn, this results in
problems in work processes. It also reduces the effectiveness of management and
productivity of employees. Human resources are the most important assets to get
out of the crises as well as they are the most affected. For an affective crises management,
personnel’s’ morale should be kept high and their physiological health must
always be taken into consideration. In this study, the importance of human resources
for an organization, the physiological and physical health of personnel during crises,
employees’ needs for information about the impact of crises on themselves and their
company, and the impact of crises on employees are emphasized. A survey of 152
managers showed that as managers’ age, experience, education level, and rank increases
they believe more that the protective policies of employees’ psychological
health would affect to solve crises.
