Salah Birsel’s novel called “Dört Köşeli Üçgen” is a novel that indicates early postmodern features based on paradox. In the novel that shines out with philosophical cross-references, two-facedness, greed, material benefits and ventriloquy are put forward from a humorous perspective. The novel has an ironical language by presenting the narrator as one of the characters. The narrator, who observes everything in universe, makes a detailed investigation on time, place and people. The view that indicates reality is the one and invariable is prominent in the novel and it is purposed that the life is questioned and the only reality is revealed. In the present article, humor, satire and irony that prevails in the aforementioned novel called “Dört Köşeli Üçgen” are investigated; contributions of ironical discourse to text’s message, variety of humor and satire and the reasons behind this fact are focused on.
