This study aims to determine the mediating role of citizenship fatigue in the relationship between emotional stability and thriving at work among banking sector employees. To achieve this aim, data were collected from 291 banking sector employees. The findings indicate that while emotional stability positively influences thriving at work, citizenship fatigue exerts a negative influence. Moreover, it was found that emotional stability reduces citizenship fatigue, thereby supporting employees’ learning and renewal processes. More importantly, the effect of emotional stability on thriving at work occurs indirectly through the mediator role of citizenship fatigue. These results demonstrate that the developmental processes individuals experience in the workplace are directly related not only to personal motivation and skills, but also to the effective use of psychological resources. Consequently, the findings underscore the importance for organizations to develop strategies that enable employees to manage these psychological resources efficiently
