A Business Perceptions and Behaviors of Tradesmen and Craftsmen about Entrepreneurial Passion: A Field Research

Entrepreneurship passion is one of the subjects on which many researches have been done in the international literature recently, but it is seen that very few studies have been done in the national literature. Entrepreneurial passion enables the entrepreneur to connect with high energy and passion to the activities of finding opportunities, inventing, creating a new venture, and developing an existing venture. In this study, it was examined whether the passion for entrepreneurship differs significantly with demographic and job variables. In the study, first of all, domestic and foreign literature was scanned. Research data were collected from 555 tradesmen and artisans business owners operating in Kahramanmaraş using the survey technique. The obtained data were analyzed using SPSS. Within the scope of the analysis, frequency, reliability, factor analysis, structural equation, t test and ANOVA analyzes were performed. According to the analysis results; In general, perceptions regarding the passion for entrepreneurship (inventing, establishing, developing) differ significantly according to the age of the tradesmen and craftsmen, their thoughts on business growth, the idea of creating a business from family or through research, Perceptions of the passion to invent differ significantly according to the gender of tradesmen and craftsmen and their recommendation of their profession to others. Founding passion show a significant difference compared to doing the job fondly. Developing show a significant difference with recommending their profession to others. There was no significant difference for other variables.

Esnaf ve Sanatkarların Girişimcilik Tutkusu ile İlgili İş Algıları ve Davranışları: Bir Alan Araştırması

Öz

Girişimcilik tutkusu girişimcinin fırsatları bulma icat etme, yeni bir girişim oluşturma, var olan girişimini geliştirme faaliyetlerine yüksek bir enerji ve tutkuyla bağlanmasını sağlamaktadır. Girişimcilik tutkusu son zamanlarda uluslararası literatürde üzerinde birçok araştırma yapılan konulardan birisi iken ulusal literatürde çok az çalışma yapıldığı görülmektedir. Bu çalışmada girişimcilik tutkusunun demografik ve iş değişkenleri ile anlamlı farklılık gösterip göstermediği incelenmiştir. Çalışmada öncelikle yerli ve yabancı literatür taranmıştır. Araştırma verileri anket tekniği kullanılarak Kahramanmaraş’ta faaliyetlerini sürdüren 555 esnaf ve sanatkâr işletme sahibinden toplanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler SPSS aracılığıyla analizlere tabi tutulmuştur. Analiz kapsamında, frekans, güvenilirlik, faktör analizi, yapısal eşitlik, t testi ve ANOVA analizleri yapılmıştır. Analiz sonuçlarına göre; Genel olarak girişimcilik tutkusuna (icat etme, kurma, geliştirme) ilişkin algılar esnaf ve sanatkârların yaş, iş büyütme düşünceleri, iş kuruluş fikrinin aileden ya da araştırarak oluşturulmalarına göre anlamlı farklılık gösterdiği, icat etme tutkusuna ilişkin algıların esnaf ve sanatkârların cinsiyet ve mesleklerini başkalarına tavsiye etmelerine göre anlamlı farklılık gösterdiği, kurma tutkusuna ilişkin algıların esnaf ve sanatkârların işini severek yapmalarına ve geliştirme tutkusuna ilişkin algıların esnaf ve sanatkârların mesleklerini başkalarına tavsiye etmelerine göre anlamlı farklılık gösterdiği görülmüştür. Diğer değişkenler için anlamlı farklılık ortaya çıkmamıştır.
