Hemşirelerin Yönetici Hemşirelerin İletişim Becerilerine İlişkin Bakış Açılarını Keşfetmek: Niteliksel Bir Çalışma

Öz

Amaç: Bu araştırma hemşirelerin yönetici hemşirelerin iletişim becerilerine ilişkin algılarını derinlemesine incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Yöntem: Bu çalışma, COREQ-32 standartlarına uygun olarak içerik analizi kullanılan betimsel, fenomenolojik bir çalışmadır. Türkiye'deki iki üçüncü basamak kamu hastanesinde çalışan toplam 60 hemşire ile görüşülmüştür. Bulgular: Çalışmadan üç ana tema ortaya çıkmıştır: “hemşire yöneticilerin iletişim becerileri”, “hemşire yöneticilerle iletişim sürecinde karşılaşılan sorunlar” ve “hemşire yöneticilerin iletişim becerilerini geliştirmek için çözüm önerileri”. Çalışma, hemşire yöneticilerin etkili iletişim için sahip olması gereken temel becerileri, iletişim sırasında karşılaşılan sorunları ve bu becerileri geliştirmek için önerileri vurgulamıştır. Sonuç: Araştırma bulguları, hemşire yöneticilerin iletişim becerilerinin bireysel, örgütsel ve mesleki dinamiklerden etkilendiğini ortaya koymuştur. Bu becerileri desteklemek için sürekli hizmet içi eğitim, saygılı bir iletişim kültürünün geliştirilmesi ve uygun fiziksel ortamların sağlanması gerekmektedir. Ayrıca, hemşirelerin mesleki örgütlere katılımı, iletişim yetkinliklerini ve mesleki kimliklerini güçlendirerek, kurumsal düzeyde farkındalığı ve katılımı artıran stratejilere duyulan ihtiyacı vurgulamaktadır.

Exploring Nurses' Perspectives on the Communication Skills of Nurse Managers: A Qualitative Study

Öz

Aim: This study was conducted to examine in depth nurses' perceptions of the communication skills of nurse managers. Methods: This is a descriptive, phenomenological study using content analysis in accordance with the COREQ-32 standards. A total of 60 nurses working in two tertiary care public hospitals in Türkiye were interviewed. Results: Three main themes emerged from the study: “communication skills of nurse managers”, “problems encountered in the communication process with nurse managers”, and “solution recommendations for improving the communication skills of nurse managers”. The study emphasized the basic skills that nurse managers need to have for effective communication, the problems encountered during communication, and suggestions for improving these skills. Conclusion: Research findings that the communication skills of nurse managers are influenced by individual, organizational, and professional dynamics. To support these skills, continuous in-service training, the development of a respectful communication culture, and the provision of appropriate physical environments are necessary. Additionally, nurses' participation in professional organizations strengthens their communication competencies and professional identities, highlighting the need for strategies that increase awareness and participation at the institutional level.
