شۆره‌شا شێخ عوبه‌یدۆڵاهێ دهێته‌ هژمارتن ب ئێكه‌مین شۆره‌شا نه‌ته‌وه‌یى یاكو تێدا بزاڤ هاتین كرن ئێكگرتنه‌ك كوردى ل سه‌ر بناغێ نه‌ته‌وه‌یى ل ده‌ڤه‌رێ بهێته‌دورستكرن ژبۆ رزگاركرنا كوردستانێ. ژبه‌ر هندێ، بایه‌خ زێده‌ گرنگ و هه‌ستیار ب هه‌مى لایه‌نێن ئه‌ڤێ شۆره‌شێ ژلایێ ده‌ستهه‌لاتدارێن ده‌ڤه‌رێ و نۆێنه‌رێن به‌ریتانیا هاتیه‌ دان. ژبه‌ر گرنگیا ئه‌ڤێ قۆناغێ، ئه‌ڤ لێكۆلینه‌ك دێ بزاڤێ كه‌تن چه‌ندین لایه‌نێن باخه‌دار یێن گرێدایى ب شۆره‌شێ ڤه‌ ب تێروانینه‌ك زانستى شرۆڤه‌ بكه‌تن. هه‌لبه‌ت بۆ ئەڤێ مه‌به‌ستێ مفا ژ هنده‌ك ژێده‌رێن گرنگ یێن ب ئەڤى ماوه‌یڤه‌ گرێدایى هاتیه‌ وه‌رگرتن.
ئارمانجێن ئەڤێ شۆره‌شێ مه‌ترسى ئێخسته‌ سه‌ر هه‌ڤسه‌نگیا هێزێ ل ده‌ڤه‌رێ. له‌وڕا هه‌ر زیكا روویدان و پێشهاتێن ئه‌ڤێ شۆره‌شێ سه‌رنجا ده‌وله‌تێن هه‌رێمى و نێڤده‌وله‌تى، ب تایبه‌تى به‌ریتانیا ڕاكێشا و ئه‌ڤ چه‌نده‌ بۆ ئه‌گه‌رێ هندێ كو به‌ریتانیا ژى هه‌لۆیست و سیاسه‌تیێن خۆ ل دۆر مه‌ترسى و بوویه‌رێن وێ بۆ ڕایا گشتى یا ده‌ڤه‌رێ دیار بكه‌ن.

The Revolt of Sheikh Obaidullah Nehri and the British Attitude and Policy 1880-1883: A Historical and Documentary Study

Öz

The Revolt of Sheik Obaidullah Nehri is considered to the first nationalistic revolution, which attempted to generate a Kurdish national union in the region in order to liberate Kurdistan. Hence, the regional powers and the British took many aspects of this revolution into account so sensitively and carefully. As a result, this key stage of Kurdish history, this research attempts to show some great aspects of this revolt through a scientific approach. This research has taken advantages from some relating references and documents of this subject.
The main objective of this study is to show the effects of this revolt on the balance of power in the region. As from the beginning of this revolt the regional and great powers had paid serious attention to the development of it, particularly the British authority had taken its development seriously. As a result, the British show its policy and attitude to its events to the regional powers.
Within its process this study attempts to answer some critical questions such as what were the main reasons behind declaring this revolt and what were the British view to it? What were the main objectives of this revolt and how the British look at its developments? How was Sheikh Obaidullah’s relations with the British and how the British policy evolved with him? What was the British position to events of this revolution? Did the British play a role in the collapsing of this revolt?
