Kuzularda Rasyona Yucca Schidigera Tozu Katılması ve Günlük Dozunun Rumen Fermentasyonu ile Verime Etkilerinin Araştırılması

Öz

Bu araştırma, yeme ilave olarak Yucca schidigera (YS) katılması ve günlük verilme düzeyinin canlı ağırlık ve günlük canlı ağırlık artışı, rumen fermentasyonu, rumen protozoon sayısı ve kan oksidan-antioksidan dengedeki değişimler üzerine etkilerinin belirlenmesi amacıyla planlandı. Çalışmada, 10-12 aylık yaşta toplam 30 baş Pırlak ırkı erkek tokludan yararlanıldı. Hayvanlar, 60 gün süreyle her bir grupta 10 adet toklu bulunacak şekilde biri kontrol, ikisi deneme olmak üzere toplam 3 gruba ayrıldı. Kontrol grubunun karma yemine herhangi bir katkı yapılmazken; deneme gruplarından I. deneme grubuna 500 mg/kg günlük, II. deneme grubuna 1500 mg/kg her 3 günde bir YS tozu katılmıştır. Toplam 60 gün süren çalışmada, hayvanlardan 30 ve 60. günlerde alınan rumen içeriği örneklerinde pH, NH3-N’u ile protozoon sayısı ve yüzde oranları; kan malodialdehid (MDA), antioksidan aktivite (AOA), superoksid dismutaz (SOD) ve katalaz düzeyleri belirlendi. YS tozunun rumen pH ve rumen protozoon sayısı ile tür dağılımlarına etkisinin olmadığı, buna karşın rumen amonyak azotu düzeyini 30. ve 60. günlerde azalttığı tespit edildi. Araştırmada, YS tozunun her iki uygulamasının da kanda MDA düzeyini düşürdüğü, AOA’yi ise artırdığı, buna karşın antioksidan enzimlerin düzeylerine etkisinin olmadığı gözlendi. Sonuç olarak; YS tozunun rumen azot metabolizmasında olumlu etkiye sahip olduğu ve serbest radikallerin verdiği zararı azaltarak hayvanların sağlıklarının korunması ve verimlerinin devamında doğal bir yem katkı maddesi olarak kullanılabileceğine işaret etmektedir.

Effects Of Supplementation Of Yucca Schidigera To Diet And İts Daily Dose On Some Rumen And Blood Parameters, Live Weight Gain in Lambs

Öz

This study was designed to investigate the effects of supplementation of Yucca schidigera (YS) and its daily dose to diet on live weight gain, rumen fermentation, rumen protozoal numbers and blood oxidant-antioxidant balance in lambs. In the study, thirty male lambs aged 10-12 months were used. The animals were equally divided into three groups contained 10 animals per group as control and two experimental groups throughout experimental period lasted 60 days. While the animals in the control group were fed with the basal diet, YS was supplemented 500 mg/kg daily to the basal diet of the experimental 1 group and 1500 mg /kg a three day to the basal diet of the experimental 2 group. In the study lasted 60 days totally, ruminal pH, NH3-N and protozoal numbers were determined in the rumen content samples taken from animals at 30 and 60th days, whereas levels of malondialdehyde (MDA), antioxidant activity (AOA), superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase were measured in the blood samples. pH and protozoal numbers in rumen content were not changed by treatments, whereas rumen ammonia nitrogen concentration in the rumen content and MDA level in the blood was reduced significantly at 30th and 60th day by treatments. Treatments increased significantly AOA and unchanged SOD and catalase activity. We concluded that the supplementation of YS to diet as a natural feed additive has a positive effect on rumen nitorgen metabolism and in the protection of animal health by decreasing the oxidative damage caused by free radicals.
