COAL BLENDING FOR THERMAL POWER STATIONS

Öz

Coal blending which provide increase in efficiency, decrease in repair-maintenance costs and emission of harmful gases in coal fueled power plants, is in the interest of many countries both scientifically and practically. Nevertheless, there are many power plant operators in different
countries showing no adequate interest to this important issue. This paper briefly explains the importance of blending, types and methods of blending, total coal quality management and importance of stockyard equipment selection especially for mine-mouth power plants and points out that all these are essential parameters of a good blending.
