Öz

Rift Vadisi Humması (RVF) en sık Arap yarımadasında ve sahra altı Afrika ülkelerde görülen zoonoz bir hastalıktır. Bunyaviridae ailesinden ve Phlebovirus genusuna ait Rift Valley Fever Virus (RVFV) hastalığa yol açar. Virus, sivrisinekler tarafından nakledilir. Evcil geviş getiren hayvanlarda virüs replikasyonu, yüksek oranda mortaliteye ve abortusa yol açar. İnsanlarda RVFV enfeksiyonu genellikle akut ve ateşli bir hastalığa neden olur, fakat az sayıda vakada hemorajik ateş, ensefalitis, hepatitis, retinitis ve rinitis gelişebilir. Bu derlemede, Rift Vadisi Humması’nın; etiyolojisi, epidemiyolojisi, epizootiyolojisi, patogenezi, klinik bulguları, zoonotik etkileri, klinik patolojisi, nekropsi bulguları, tedavisi, koruma ve kontrolü yöntemleri tek tek ele alınmıştır.
