НАРТСКИЙ ЭПОС КАРАЧАЕВЦЕВ И БАЛКАРЦЕВ

This paper considers the Nart epic of the Karachays and Balkars that presents one of the basik national versions of the Caucasian-wide entire Nartiade. Karachay and Balkar Nart Songs, as well as traditions appearing among other carriers of the Nart epic, form a range of large and small cycluses. Each cyclus comprises a group of small tales and songs about the origin of the Nart tribe there on the Earth, about different stages and events of the epic destinies of the heroes, namely birth, heroic childhood, the first heroic feat, wedding struggle against mythical monsters and with sworn enemies.

В данной статье рассматривается нартский эпос карачаевцев и балкарцев, который является одной из основных национальных версий общекавказской Нартиады. У карачаевцев и балкарцев, как и у других носителей «Нартиады», нартские песни и сказания составляют ряд больших и малых циклов. Каждый цикл — это группа небольших по объему сказаний и песен о появлении на земле нартского племени; о различных этапах и событиях эпической жизни героев (рождение, богатырское детство, первый подвиг, женитьба, борьба с мифическими чудовищами, с кровником и т. д.).
