KIBRIS TÜRKLERİNDE MİZAH ANLAYIŞI VE UNUTULMUŞ BİR NASREDDİN HOCA; HASAN MULLA OSMAN

Turkish Cypriot society is a considerable research center with both the richness of folklore, village stage play, the poems, ballads, and with the richness of the oral culture. Turkish Cypriots who have brought the Anatolian culture to Cyprus after 1571, and have intervowen all these characteristics with the unique properties of the island have also the smart artists enjoying to trick with the words with their high humour of sense, as called the Nasreddin Hodja of the current period. One of those above-mentioned men of wit is Hasan Mulla Osman from Paphos. Especially during the period in which Turkish Cypriots have struggled to survive against the slavery, Greek Cypriot pressure and atrocity, Hasan Mulla Osman comes to the surface with his own unique snappy characteristics. On the other hand, despite his all perfect properties, he is also one of those that the society has forgotten so far.

KıbrısTürk toplumu gerek seyirlik oyunları ve halk kültürünün zenginliği gerekse masallar, şiirler, söylenceler gibi sözlü kültürün çeşitliliği ile önemli bir araştırma sahasıdır. 1571 sonrasında Anadolu kültürünü Kıbrıs'a getirmiş ve bu adanın kendine has özellikleriyle bütün bunları harmanlamış olan Kıbrıs Türkleri kendine has kişisel özellikleriyle dönemin Nasreddin Hocası olarak adlandırılacak espri gücü yüksek, zeki ve kelimelerle oynamayı seven mizah sanatçılarına da sahiptir. İşte bu unutulan değerlerden birisi de Baf'ın Nasreddin Hocası Hasan Mulla Osman'dır. Özellikle Kıbrıs Türklerinin esaret ve Rum baskılarına ve kötülüklerine karşı hayatta kalma mücadelesi verdikleri dönemde Hasan Mulla Osman gerek kendine has tavrı gerekse hazırcevaplığıyla ön plana çıkar. Bütün güzel özelliklerine rağmen öte yandan o da zamanla maalesef unutulanlar arasına girmiş ve unutulmuştur.
