BOSNALI DİVAN ŞAİRLERİNDE MAHALLÎLEŞME

`Mahallîleşme` is a name for a process of localization of Ottoman literature through employing purified Turkish language as well as local proverbs and topics. As such it has become lately a matter of interest and discussion in the literary circles and among the Ottoman Studies experts. A result from such an interest is a general conclusion that divulgence of a national language, specific to one nation only, in a multi-cultural and multi-language state such as Ottoman Empire cannot be accepted as well founded. In spite of the evident presence of local topics and language in the Turk poets’ work it would be anachronous to understand this fact as a search for national language but it should rather be perceived as a part of a wide spread mahallîleşme process. Such a trend could also be observed in the poetry from different parts of the Ottoman Empire, including Bosnia. In light of the aforementioned, this paper analyses the poetry of Bosnian poets such as Sâbit, Mezâkî, Osman Şehdî and Hâtem from the aspect of their using local topics and expresions, as well as referrences to local places and events. Its goal is to show that the development of trends in Ottoman poetry can be perceived as a common process encompassing the empire as whole in which poets of different origin were creating their poems being well aware of and embracing the contemporary trends.

Osmanlı edebiyatında mahallî konuların, Türkçe deyim ve atasözlerinin kullanılmasıyla ortaya çıkan bir süreç olarak değerlendirilen mahallîleşme son zamanlarda bilim çevrelerinde çok tartışılan bir konu olmuştur. Osmanlı edebiyatı üzerinde çalışan bilim adamlarının ulaştıkları genel sonuç, özellikle Osmanlı İmparatorluğu gibi çok dilli ve çok kültürlü bir devlet içinde millî bir dilin yaygınlaştırılması fikrinin eksik ve tartışılır olduğunu göstermektedir. Her ne kadar mahallîleşme süreci şiirde görülse de şairin öz Türkçe arayışı içinde olduğunda ısrar edilmesi anakronik bir yaklaşımdır ve bu olgu mahallîleşme sürecinin bir parçası olarak değerlendirilebilir. Bu süreç, Bosnalı Divan şairleri dahil olmak özere Osmanlı İmparatorluğunun farklı bölgelerinden gelen şairlerde dikkat çekmektedir. Bu çalışmada Sâbit, Mezâkî, Osman Şehdî ve Hâtem gibi Bosnalı şairlerin eserleri, yerel konu ve deyimleri kullanmaları, yerel olay ve yer adlarına gönderme yapmaları bakımından incelenmektedir. Bu araştırma, Osmanlı edebiyatında farklı kökenlerden şairlerin aktüel olan edebî süreçlerden haberdar olduklarını ve içinde yer aldıklarını göstermektedir. Dolayısıyla, Osmanlı şiirinin değişik bölgelerden gelen şairlerin edebî ürünlerinin bir bütünü olarak algılanabileceğini ortaya koymaktadır.
