SAMİHA AYVERDİ’DE “DOĞU-BATI” ANLAYIŞI

In her works, Samiha Ayverdi touched upon the cultural changes, false applied Westernism, astrangement, international pranks and presented solution to these problems. We can easily observe the flow from the matter to meaning and entrenching the terms with great mastership. The writer fictionalizes the changes of civilizasion emerging with Westernism, solution from the inner world of the characters of her novels by following them in, especially problems causing the family relations the community. The history that combines the two treasures of the paramount past and future, is the topic used by Samiha Ayverdi. All these works are the real masterships of paramount importance, which comprise the period of Ottoman Empire and today. Besides, the opposition of the West and East is the gist point dominating her works. Because the opportunism, brutalism, colonialism displayed by the West provided a context of the creation of the history.

Sâmiha Ayverdi, eserlerinde kültür değişmelerinin, yanlış uygulanan Batıcılığın, yabancılaşmanın, uluslararası oyunların üzerinde durmuş; bunlara milli kültürümüz ışığında çözümler sunmuştur. İmaj zenginliği ile dolu eserlerinde maddeden manaya doğru bir akış içinde aynı terimlerin ustaca yerleştirildiğini görürüz. Yazar, batılılaşma ile birlikte meydana gelen uygarlık değişimini ve bu değişimin toplumda ve özellikle aile içinde sebep olduğu sorunları, çözümleri roman kişilerinin iç dünyalarından takip ederek romanlaştırır. Bir milletin geçmişini geleceğine kavuşturan önemli hazinelerden biri olan tarih, Sâmiha Ayverdi`de sık sık işlenen konulardan biridir. Onun eserleri bizleri ta eski dönemlerden tutmuş Osmanlı İmparatorluğu zamanına kadar götürecek değerli eserlerdir. Ayrıca, Doğu ve Batı`nın hesaplaşması onun eserlerinin hemen hemen tamamına hakimdir. Çünkü Batı`nın gösterdiği menfaatperestliği, gaddarlığı, sömürgeciliği tarihe mal olmuştur.
