TÜRK HALK EDEBİYATI DERSLERİNDE HAYVAN KONULU MENKABE ÖRNEKLERİNİN İNCELENMESİ

In the current study, within the context of Turkish Folk Literature (undergraduate and graduate) courses, cultural backgrounds and teachings of the works of Hoca Ahmed Yesevi and Hacı Bektaşi Veli whose topics are related to animals were investigated. In Bektaşi tradition, Ahmet Yesevî’s anecdotal life is known to have an important place. Within the scope of the study, samples of the works of these two great men (saints) thought to be related to each other in terms of epic tales were given. On the basis of the number “7” which is one of the formulistic numbers (e.g. 3, 7, 40), seven epic tale with animal motives were selected from M. Fuat Köprülü’s work “Türk Edebiyatında İlk Mutasavvıflar”, Abdülbaki Gölpınarlı’s “Menakıb-ı Hünkâr Hacı Bektâş –ı Veli / Vilâyet –name”. Thus, each epic tale whose basic motives were determined on the basis of international Motive Index was evaluated in terms of the messages to be conveyed, teachings and lessons to be learned. Then, the reflections of epic tales with animal motives on Turkish culture were explored within the context of the cultural background and thus, the cultural language of the epic tales centered around a scared person was revealed on the basis of its cultural sources. Thus, the purpose of the current study was set to be to introduce the genre of epic tales to Turkish language teaching undergraduate and graduate students, to lead them to make a synthesis of the genre, to help the students to know the saint, the community and the sect that this genre belongs to on the basis of the principle literary works of the genre, to help the students to follow the traces of old Turkish culture in the literary works of the genre mostly focusing on the principles of Islamic Sufism and to help them to make a synthesis of this old information and their existing knowledge. The method employed in the current study is the analysis of the anecdotes selected through sampling in line with the pre-set objectives. The study is complemented with the theoretical results derived from the qualitative analysis. The results of the study show that the genre of epic tales including the past and the present together should be studied by focusing on its motives and teachings. Students may improve their capacity to make interpretation of this genre by linking new information they have learned with their prior knowledge and they can also reinforce their awareness that their own culture is worth being protected as a sacred heritage. 

Bu çalışmada, Türk Halk Edebiyatı (lisans-lisansüstü) dersleri kapsamında, Hoca Ahmed Yesevi ile Hacı Bektaşi Veli’nin konuları hayvanlarla ilgili olan menkabe örneklerinin kültürel arka planı ve öğretileri ele alınmıştır. Bektaşî an’anesinde Ahmet Yesevî’nin menkabevî hayatının önemli bir yeri olduğu bilinmektedir. Çalışmanın boyutları açısından da düşünüldüğünde bu incelemede, menkabeler bağlamında birbiriyle ilişkili olduğu düşünülen iki veliden örneklere yer verilmiştir. Halkbiliminde formulistik sayı olarak da bilinen (3, 7, 40 gibi) sayılardan “7” sayısı (çalışmayı sınırlandırabilmek adına) esas alınarak, M. Fuat Köprülü’nün Türk Edebiyatında İlk Mutasavvıflar adlı eseri ile Abdülbaki Gölpınarlı’nın Menakıb-ı Hünkâr Hacı Bektâş –ı Veli / Vilâyet –nâme adlı eserinden örnekleme yoluyla 7 tane hayvan konulu menkabe seçilmiştir. Diğer taraftan, “dinî anlatmalar” bağlamında menkabe uluslararası motifler de içerebilmektedir. Buradan hareketle uluslararası Motif İndex kapsamında da temel motifleri belirlenen her bir menkabe örneği, ilkin iletilen mesajlar, öğretiler, çıkarılan dersler bağlamında değerlendirilmiştir. Devamında ise, hayvan konulu menkabe örneklerinin Türk kültürüne yansımaları kültürel arka plan dâhilinde ele alınarak mukaddes bir veli etrafında oluşturulan menkabenin geçmişten günümüze taşınan kültürel dili, yine kültür tarihi kaynaklarından hareketle ortaya konulmuştur. Tüm bu bilgilerden hareketle çalışmanın temel amacı ise, Türkçe Eğitimi (lisans yahut lisans üstü) öğrencilerinin Türk Halk Edebiyatı dersi bağlamında, daha önceki diğer tür bilgilerinden hareketle menkabe türünü tanımalarını, türle ilgili bir senteze ulaşmalarını, türün ait olduğu veliyi, zümreyi, tarikatı, temel/başat müracaat eserler dâhilinde öğrenmelerini, daha çok İslâmiyet’in mistik yönünü (Tasavvufu) ön plana çıkaran türün örnek metinlerdeki Eski Türk kültürü izlerini takip etmelerini, bu sayede menkabelerdeki yüzyıllar öncesinden günümüze taşınan öğretiyi ve de kültürel arka planı birlikte okumalarını, eski bilgilerle yeni bilgilerini analiz – sentez bağlamında yaşama geçirmelerini sağlayabilmektir. Çalışmanın yöntemi ise, örnekleme yoluyla seçilen anlatıların belirlenen hedefler doğrultusunda tahlilidir. Çalışma, nitel incelemeden çıkarılan teorik sonuçlarla tamamlanmaktadır. Bu sonuçlara göre, geçmiş ve şimdiyi içinde barındıran menkabe türü, kültür tarihi içinde motifleri ve öğretileri ile ele alınmalıdır. Öğrenci, örnek ders işleme modeli sayesinde, daha önceki bilgileriyle yeni öğrendiklerini bağdaştırıp tür hakkında yorum gücü kazanabilir, öz kültürünü sahiplenip onun korunması gereken kutsal miras olduğunu daha iyi kavrayabilir.
