The aim ol this study is to find out rituals raised around fruits in the Ottoman geography in 1 7th century. in order to achieve the purpose of the study, the

magnificent book of Evliya Çelebi, who spent his life traveling ali around Ottoman land, titled "Seyahatname " was reviewed thoroughly and the ceremonies, the myths and the .folk materials around thosefruits were determined.

B u çal ışmanın amacı 1 7. yüzyılda Osmanlı coğrafyasında mevcut meyveleri ve bu meyveler çevresinde gel işmiş ritüelleri ortaya çıkarmaktır. Bu amaçla hemen hemen bütün Osmanl ı coğrafyasını dolaşarak bu coğrafyayı Seyahatname'sinde resmeden Evl iya Çeleb i 'nin muhteşem eseri taranmış ve meyvelerin yayıldığı coğrafya belirlenmiş, varsa bu meyveler çevresinde gelişen törenler, efsaneler, folklorik malzemeler tespit edi lmiştir.
