The purpose of this study is to elicit the comprehension levels of 120 antonyms by the students of aged six to eleven and to examine with respect to age, gender and habitation. In this study, descriptive method is used. Achievement test was used as a data gathering instrument. This study was conducted on 690 students in Ereğli in Zonguldak. These data were examined with respect to age, sex and accommodation of students and used independent t test, one way ANOVA and post-hoc tukey HSD test in analysis. Data has been interpreted in 0.05 significant level. At the end of study that was found; comprehension level of antonyms had increased depending on age of students. Tehere is not significant difference according to sex of the students in comprehension level of antonyms. The most remembered antonyms were down/up, empty/full, fast/slow whereas the least remembered antonyms cruel/innocent, good hearted/proud and direct/indirect.
