Koro Ve Orkestra /Oda Müziğinde Seslendirme/Yorumlama Başarım Gücü Üzerine Program Odaklı Bir İnceleme - A Program Based Analysis Of Performing Success In Choir And Orchestra/Chamber Music Performance

Günümüzde müzik öğretmenliği mesleki biçimlenmesi, halen uygulanmakta olan müzik öğretmenliği 2007 lisans programında yer alan A, MB ve GK kodlu derslerin bileşkesi olarak gerçekleşmektedir. Müzik öğretmenliği eğitimi sürecinde seslendirme/yorumlama çalışmaları, müzik öğretmeni adaylarının mesleki biçimlenmesi bakımından önemli çalışmalardır. Müzik öğretmenliği lisans programında yer alan A kodlu dersler arasında öğrencilerin sesleriyle ve/veya çalgılarıyla seslendirme/yorumlama çalışmalarına katıldıkları koro ve orkestra/oda müziği dersleri ayrı bir yer tutmaktadır. Çünkü bu dersler ve bu derslerle bağlantılı seslendirme/yorumlama çalışmaları yoluyla öğrencilerin ses ve çalgılarına ilişkin birikimlerini benzer nitelik ve donanımlardaki diğer öğrencilerle birlikte, müziğin gerektirdiği teknik ve ortak müzikal anlayışla ortaya koymaları amaçlanmaktadır. Ancak müzik öğretmenliği eğitimi sürecinde seslendirme/yorumlama çalışmalarının yeterince verimli ve nitelikli olup olmadığı bir sorun olarak görülmektedir.

Bu çalışmada, müzik öğretmenliği eğitiminde öğrencilerin seslendirme/yorumlama başarım gücü, koro ve orkestra/oda müziği dersleri bağlamında incelenmektedir. Başarım gücü ifadesiyle; Koro ve orkestra/oda müziği gruplarında başarıyla yer alma, sesiyle ve/veya çalgısıyla seslendirmeye başarıyla katkıda bulunma vurgulanmaktadır.  

Çalışma, nitel araştırma olarak yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın verileri, doküman analizi ve nitel görüşme ile elde edilmiştir. Müzik öğretmenliği lisans programı üzerinde, A kodlu derslerin tümü genel olarak incelenmiş, koro ve orkestra/oda müziği derslerinin tanımsal programları üzerinde de “seslendirme/yorumlama hedefleri bakımından” inceleme yapılmıştır.

Diğer yandan, koro ve orkestra/oda müziği derslerini veren öğretim elemanlarının görüşlerinin alınabilmesi için nitel görüşme tekniğinden yararlanılmıştır. İlgili dersleri veren öğretim elemanlarına (katılımcı) uygulanmak üzere “koro ve orkestra/oda müziği başarım gücü görüşme formu” hazırlanmıştır.

Araştırma sonuçları; Müzik öğretmenliği lisans programında A kodlu dersler arasında yer alan Koro ve orkestra/oda müziği derslerinin tanımsal programlarının, seslendirme/yorumlama hedefine yönelik olduğunu, öğrencilerin yoğunlukla derslere ön hazırlık yapmadan geldiklerini, birlikte müzik yapma konusunda yeterli anlayış ve titizliği sergilemediklerini, not kaygısıyla çalıştıklarının vurgulandığını, dinleti, konser, festival vb. katılımlarının motivasyonları bakımından yararlı olduğu, öğrenciler arasında seviye farklılıklarının birlikte müzik yapmayı ve başarım gücünü olumsuz etkilediğinin vurgulandığını ortaya koymaktadır.

Bu bağlamda, koro ve orkestra/oda müziği seslendirme/yorumlama başarım gücünün en etkili iki bileşeni olarak bireysel çalgı ve bireysel ses eğitimi derslerine ilişkin uygulama ve ders ürünü niteliklerinin etkili araştırma sonuçlarıyla irdelenmesi önerilmektedir.

ABSTRACT

Today, music teaching professional formation is realized as a combination of the A, MB, GK coded courses which are part of the current 2007 undergraduate program for music teaching. Performance studies within the music teaching education process are important in terms of professional formation of the future music teachers. Choir and orchestra/chamber music courses in which students participate with their voices and/or instruments have a particular place among the A coded courses in music teaching undergraduate program. Because; through these courses and performance studies related to them, it is aimed that the students present their accumulated knowledge about their voices and instruments together with the other students having similar qualifications and background, in line with the techniques required by the music and with a shared musical understanding. However, whether the performance studies within the music teaching education process are as effective and high quality as it should be, stands as a question.

In this study, students’ performing success during music teaching education is examined within the context of choir and orchestra/chamber music courses. With the performing success term; successful participation in choir and orchestra/chamber music groups, effectively contributing with his/her voice and/or instrument is emphasized.

The study was conducted as a qualitative research. Research data was acquired through document analysis and qualitative interviews. In the music teaching undergraduate program, all A coded courses are examined in general. As for the choir and orchestra/chamber music courses, definitional curricula are examined “in terms of performance targets”. On the other hand, qualitative interviewing technique was utilized for receiving the opinions of the instructors of choir and orchestra/chamber music courses. “Choir and orchestra/chamber music performing success interview form” was prepared to be filled in by the instructors of related courses (participants).

Research results show that definitional curricula of the choir and orchestra/chamber music courses among the A coded courses in music teaching undergraduate program do focus on performance target;  that the students often come to classes unprepared; that they do not show sufficient understanding and rigour for making music together; their grade-oriented view of studying is underlined; their attendance to concerts, festivals etc. is found beneficial in terms of their motivation; and it is emphasized that the level differences between students have a negative effect on making music together and their performing success.

In this regard, it is recommended that, being the two most effective components of choir and orchestra/chamber music performing success, the individual instrumental and vocal education courses’ implementation and outcome characteristics would be reviewed along with the effective research results.
