Öz

Psychobiography is a subject that has existed for many years and has become a subject of increasing interest in the world in recent years. The growing interest in psychobiographies has raised the question of how to conduct these studies and has led to methodological explanations. Substantially, psychobiography-related studies involve dealing with the lives of historically significant individuals within the framework of psychological theories. This study aims to examine the psychobiographical studies in Turkey. When the studies in our country are examined, 170 studies have been reached, but 9 studies are suitable for the purpose of the study identified. These studies were examined in various aspects. Based on this systematic review, psychobiographical studies were found scarce in our country, having methodological limitations in psychobiography, and there is an urgent need for more studies in the field of psychobiography. In addition, it should be taken into account that future studies will use psychobiography method guides to provide a common methodological language and enrich the theoretical framework to be discussed.

TÜRKİYE’DEKİ PSİKOBİYOGRAFİ ÇALIŞMALARI: SİSTEMATİK DERLEME

Öz

Psikobiyografi uzun yıllardan beri var olan ve son yıllarda dünyada artan ilgiye sahip bir konu haline gelmiştir. Psikobiyografilere artan ilgi, bu çalışmaların nasıl yürütüleceği sorusunu gündeme getirmiş, metodolojik açıklamalara öncü olduğu görülmüştür. Özünde psikobiyografi çalışmaları tarihsel öneme sahip olan kişilerin hayatlarının psikoloji kuramları çerçevesinde ele almasını içermektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, tarihsel öneme sahip kişinin hayatını psikolojik açıdan sosyo-kültürel bağlamda ele alan Türkiye’deki psikobiyografi çalışmalarını sistematik olarak incelemektir. Ülkemizdeki çalışmalar incelendiğinde, Google Akademik, TR Dizini, Dergipark veri tabanları taranmış, yapılan alanyazın taraması sonucunda 170 çalışmaya ulaşılmış ancak çalışmanın amacına uygun 9 çalışma tespit edilmiştir. İncelenen bu çalışmalar çeşitli yönleriyle ele alınmıştır. Sonuç olarak, ülkemizde psikobiyografi çalışmalarının sınırlı olduğu, yürütülen çalışmaların psikobiyografi metodolojisi açısından sınırlılıklar içerdiği, psikobiyografi alanında daha fazla çalışmaya ihtiyacın olduğu görülmüştür. Ayrıca gelecek çalışmalara ortak metodolojik bir dil sağlamaları için psikobiyografi metot kılavuzlarını kullanmalarının ve ele alınacak kuramsal çerçevenin zenginleştirilmesinin alanyazına önemli bir katkı sağlayacağı da düşünülmüştür.
