Döngüsel Ekonominin Değer Zinciri Üzerindeki Etkisinin Mavi Şirketi Örneğinde İncelenmesi

Öz

Çalışma, doğrusal üretim modeliyle ilişkili çevresel sorunların giderek artmasından hareketle,
üretim süreçlerinde daha sürdürülebilir bir yaklaşımın benimsenmesinin gerekliliğini
vurgulamaktadır. Bu çerçevede araştırma, sürdürülebilir üretim modellerine geçiş sürecinde
döngüsel ekonomi uygulamalarının değer zinciri faaliyet ve aşamalarına nasıl yansıdığını
ortaya koymayı hedeflemektedir. Bu çalışma, hazır giyim sektöründe döngüsel ekonomi
ilkelerinin benimsenmesinin değer zinciri faaliyetleri üzerindeki etkisini, Mavi şirketi örneği
üzerinden analiz etmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yaklaşımına dayalı
betimsel-analitik bir tek vaka çalışması tasarımı benimsenmiştir. Bu doğrultuda, Mavi’nin 2024
yılına ait Sürdürülebilirlik Raporu yönlendirilmiş içerik analizi yöntemi ile incelenmiştir.
Sürdürülebilirlik raporunda yer alan döngüsel ekonomi uygulamaları 4R çerçevesi (Azaltma,
Yeniden Kullanım, Geri Dönüşüm ve Geri Kazanım) kapsamında sınıflandırılarak Porter’ın
değer zinciri modeli çerçevesinde değerlendirilmiştir. Bulgular, Mavi tarafından uygulanan
döngüsel ekonomi uygulamalarının hammadde tedarikinden üretim ve dağıtıma, satış sonrası
hizmetlere kadar değer zincirinin temel ve destekleyici faaliyetlerine yayıldığını
göstermektedir. Bu uygulamaların, kaynak kullanımının daha etkin yönetilmesi ve atıkların
azaltılması yoluyla operasyonel verimliliği desteklediği ve değer zinciri aşamaları arasındaki
bütünleşmeyi güçlendirdiği tespit edilmiştir.

Examining the Impact of the Circular Economy on the Value Chain: The Case of Mavi Company

Öz

The study emphasizes the necessity of adopting a more sustainable approach in production
processes, based on the increasing environmental problems associated with the linear
production model. Within this framework, the research aims to reveal how circular economy
practices are reflected in value chain activities and stages during the transition to sustainable
production models. This study aims to analyze the impact of adopting circular economy
principles on value chain activities in the apparel industry through the example of the Mavi
company. In the research, a descriptive-analytical single case study design based on a
qualitative research approach was adopted. In this context, Mavi’s 2024 Sustainability Report
was examined using the directed content analysis method. The circular economy practices
included in the sustainability report were classified within the 4R framework (Reduce, Reuse,
Recycle, and Recover) and evaluated within the framework of Porter’s value chain model. The
findings indicate that the circular economy practices adopted by Mavi are distributed across
various value chain activities, ranging from raw material sourcing to manufacturing,
distribution, and after-sales services. The implementation of these practices is associated with
improvements in operational efficiency through enhanced resource management and waste
reduction, and it also contributes to greater integration among different stages of the value
chain.
