The Effect of Internal Marketing Practices in Health Institutions on Job Performance: Mediating Role of Market Orientation

Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate the mediating role of market orientation in the effect of internal marketing practices on job performance in health institutions. The data collection tools used in the research were the "Internal Marketing," "Market Orientation," and "Business Performance" scales. The study involved 340 public health workers and was conducted in Kayseri between August 15 and December 15, 2022, with data collected through an online survey technique. The data obtained were analyzed using the SPSS 22 (Statistical Package of Social Sciences) package program, employing descriptive analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis. The findings of the study revealed a positive effect of internal marketing on market orientation and business performance. In addition, it has been determined that market orientation has a full mediator role in the effect of internal marketing on business performance. It is thought that the findings obtained in the study will make important contributions to the health marketing literature and health managers in practice.
