Öz
Bu çalışmada teknolojik gelişme ile ekonomi arasındaki ilişki bağlamında elektronik para ele alınıp incelenmektedir. Bilindiği gibi, teknolojik gelişme ekonomi üzerinde önemli etkiler meydana getirmiştir. Bilgisayar teknolojisindeki devrimsel gelişmelerin ardından yeni bir ekonomik ortam ortaya çıkmıştır. Elektronik finans ve elektronik para bu gelişmeler arasında yer almaktadır. Fakat çalışmada da gösterildiği gibi, yeni ekonomi geleneksel olandan tamamen farklı değildir ve elektronik para gibi yeni geliştirilen araçlar geleneksel araçları ikame etmek yerine onların tamamlayıcısı durumundadırlar. Bu yeni dönemde önem kazanan, yeni şartları anlamak ve ekonomileri başarılı bir şekilde yönetmek için gerekli olan düzenlemeleri yapmaktır

Öz
This study examines electronic money in the context of the relationship between technological development and economy. As known technological developments have been had substantial effects on the economy. Following revolutionary developments in the computer technology, a new economic environment has been brought about. Electronic finance and electronic money are amoung such developments. But as shown by the study new economy is not completely different from the traditional one and new instruments such as electronic money are the complemantary to the traditional ones rather than being substitutions of them. What is important in this new era is that to understand the new conditions and make the required arrangements to successfuly conduct economies
